Inviting all ACT based musicians/songwriters
First Base Music will be presenting the first of regular information sessions giving guidance on aspects of music careers including distribution, how to get gigs, getting label interest, radio airplay and more.
The interactive sessions are aimed at providing the skills and tools needed to help ACT Based musicians and songwriters in their musical endeavours.
All ages:

About First Base Music:
The crew at First Base Music have over 40 years experience in the music industry between them with roles including performing, songwriting, artist management, promotion, booking agent, and record label.
They brought the music industry to Canberra through establishing the (now defunct) ACT branch of the Music Managers Forum, and ran Forumfest at Indyfest 2002-2005, bringing Australian and International music industry representatives to Canberra.
They have and continue to work with a diverse range of artists including David Knopfler (Dire Straits), Bob Dylan, Usher, Hugh Cornwell (The Stranglers), Jah Rule, David McCormack (Custard), The Devoted Few, The Panda Band, Paul Greene, Rob Hirst (Midnight Oil), Greg Arnold (Things of Stone and Wood), Stella One Eleven and local artists Quick 50, Redletter, beanort, Randall Blair & The Wedded Bliss and more.
